Department of Energy’s Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment (INCITE) NCAR CCSM simulation for 21,000 years BP to present

Info: Simulation of Transient Climate Evolution over the last 21,000 years. TraCE-21ka, a collaborative NSF project between UW-Madison and NCAR. Monthly time series of the atmospheric model variables are available for download on the Earth System Grid.

Energy Balance Climate Model

Info: This model, written by Dr. Steve Vavrus, integrates a simple form of the surface energy equation to generate average monthly latidinal temperatures for an assumed hemispherically symmetric Earth.


Downscaled CCSM3 Paleoclimate Simulations for North America

Info: The zip file includes downscaled CCSM3 paleoclimate simulations for North America for every 1000 years from 21,000 years ago to the present. They represent the paleoclimate simulations used in Veloz et al., 2012 and Blois et al., 2012. See the README file for additional information.
